St. Thomas/Holy Spirit offers a variety of ways to get involved!
Men of Faith in Fellowship
The Men of Faith in Fellowship group meets weekly on Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. We hope that our name – Men of Faith in Fellowship – does not imply that we have more FAITH than you. In fact, the tone of the group is quite the opposite. We acknowledge that “Faith is not a guilt trip; it’s a journey,” and we are on the journey TOGETHER.
We take seriously our call to model Christian acceptance, hearing differing opinions or sharing struggles WITHOUT JUDGMENT. We seek guidance from Scripture and from prayer. And we celebrate our meetings as a place where men can be men but are not expected to play the role of “going it alone.” Discretion and tolerance are honestly practiced.
If you have questions, please call Dave Andrasko at 314-705-8509.
“Come to me, all you that are weary, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
Gather with us on Tuesday mornings at 8:00 for an inspiring Bible study led by and given for women! Wired Women meet in various locations. Currently, we are meeting at The Barn in Sappington.
Scrip Program — Raise Money While You Shop!
It’s simple — scrip participating retailers agree to sell gift cards to STHS at a discount. Member families like yours buy the certificates for full face value, you redeem them for full face value, and our church keeps the difference as revenue. And scrip is exciting, because everybody wins: it’s the fundraising program that works while you shop!
We sell the scrip twice a month before each of the weekend services on the first full weekend of the month and the third weekend. You place your order that weekend, and your cards will be given to you the following weekend.
The beauty of scrip is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. You earn money for our church without spending a single additional penny. Just spend your regular shopping dollars with scrip at the stores that participate in the scrip program! And scrip can be used for just about any household purchase including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline and dining out.
Below is a full list of retailers who participate in the program:

The easiest and quickest way of ordering scrip electronically is to set up a PrestoPay account. This is an account that withdraws funds from your bank account for your orders, just like a debit card. PrestoPay is a secure online payment system. Your scrip coordinator cannot see anything about your bank account information.
Reload option: This allows you to add money to a physical gift card you already have in hand. You simply register the card online and pay for the amount you want to add.
When reload orders are placed and paid for before 3:30 pm EST, Monday through Friday, the funds will be added to your card overnight when using PrestoPay.
If you pay by check, the funds will be on your card the day after the order is released by your Coordinator. Contact Louann Elledge at 314-892-5424 or firstname.lastname@example.org or Stacy Steketee at 314-752-5649 or email@example.com so your order can be released as soon as you issue a check to STHS for your purchase.
ReloadNow™ option: For some retailers you can add funds to your cards even faster with ReloadNow™. When you pay with PrestoPay, funds will be added to your card in minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you pay by check, the funds will be on your card minutes after the order is released by your Coordinator.

STHS Library Online Catalog
Books and other materials of the St. Thomas/Holy Spirit Library are being entered into an online catalog via LibraryThing.
The list that appears in the catalog is arranged chronologically (latest to oldest) by entry date into our catalog. Each column may be ordered by clicking on the heading. To search our library’s collection, use the “Search your library” box on the upper right (not the topmost “Search site” box which searches all libraries with catalogs in Library Thing). By using the drop down “Search” menu, you may limit your search to titles/authors, subjects, etc. If you are interested in searching by collection (fiction, biography, etc.) choose the drop down “All collections” menu on the far left.
Consider joining the Altar Guild. We operate behind the scenes and make sure that the altar is set with everything the pastor needs for each service. We meet only 5 times a year, every 2 months and not at all in the summer. If interested, please contact Sue Rosso at 314-843-6577.
Give a Ride to Church
Join the Transportation Ministry! We are looking for those who are willing to provide transportation to worship services. If you can provide a ride, please call the office at 314-843-6577, or sign up in the Life Center. The more volunteers, the more successful the ministry!
The Joy Women plan and host quarterly women’ retreats here at STHS. We “party girls” love putting together all the little details for each retreat — from the fun themes, decorations, crafts and activities to the thoughtful devotions and fellowship time. And, of course, there’s always food and drink! This is truly a labor of love for us. It is a JOY-full women’s ministry that allows us to connect and lift one another up. We welcome all women to participate by attending or helping us plan upcoming retreats. Planning meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month — location to be determined. Want to learn more? Contact any of the Joy “Sisters” – Sand Brennecke, Lynnda Light, Anita Petrovic, or Karen Wegman.
Take it to your core! The quickest, most rewarding muscle group to strengthen is your abdominals. In this class, you’ll focus on toning your mid-section — the abdominal and back muscles. A strong core carries through in everything you do. Over 90% of the American population experiences regular back pain.
Strengthening and stretching the right muscles can alleviate problems you may experience now and in the future. Every fitness level is safe and challenged with Beronica’s customized training.
Need to get to work? Since it isn’t a cardio class, you can go straight to work from class. In fact, most of the class is lying down!
