Scrip Program – Retailer Gift Cards
It’s simple — scrip participating retailers agree to sell gift cards to STHS at a discount. Member families like yours buy the certificates for full face value, you redeem them for full face value, and our church keeps the difference as revenue. And scrip is exciting, because everybody wins: it’s the fundraising program that works while you shop!
The beauty of scrip is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work. You earn money for our church without spending a single additional penny. Just spend your regular shopping dollars with scrip at the stores that participate in the scrip program! And scrip can be used for just about any household purchase including food, clothing, entertainment, gasoline and dining out.
Scrip sales will be held the first 10 days of each quarter beginning in April. (We will plan to have a special scrip sale in November so you can order gift cards for Christmas). The church is planning on holding outdoor services as the weather gets nicer. You can turn in your order on April 4, Easter Sunday, when two outdoor services are planned. If you won’t be at church that day, or if there is inclement weather, you can mail your order with a check made payable to STHS to Louann Elledge, 56 Dorclin Lane, 63128. Your order must be received by April 10, as that is the date the orders will be submitted to GLSC.
The cards usually arrive about 3 days after the order is submitted. If we continue to have outside worship, the cards will be distributed at that time. Any orders not picked up at worship will be left at church. When you are ready to pick up your order from church, please call ahead to make sure someone is at church to let you in. The orders will remain locked in the office until you pick them up.
